2018 Carnival Parade Entry Form

Dear Villagers,

On behalf of Charlesworth & Chisworth Carnival Committee I would like to invite your organisation to enter a float in this year’s carnival parade.

Whilst there is no theme for the carnival floats they are split into categories for judging: Vehicles, Walking and Horses.

Floats should meet at 12 noon at St Margaret’s School, Glossop Road, Charlesworth (nr Gamesley Bridge). Judging will take place here and the procession will leave at 12.30pm.

The procession travels through the middle of Charlesworth to the recreation ground on Marple Road. It takes approximately 30 minutes.

***Important!***

No one should get off the float until told it is safe for them to do so by a carnival official – We need to have the floats moved as far along as possible to enable traffic to pass.

Please ensure that everyone from your float disembarks onto the pavement NOT onto the road.

There should be NO VEHICLES in the walking floats

Please complete your own risk assessments for this event. The carnival committee, its members, sponsors or associates accept no responsibility for any accident or injury sustained as a result of any person’s participation in the parade.

Children are to be supervised by adults at all times.
